The PRP combined with microneedling treatment delivers results that work effectively to meet your primary expectations: brighter and tighter skin with minimal recovery time.
What is Platelet-Rich Plasma or PRP Defined?
PRP is a viable and intact concentration of human platelets in a small volume of plasma.
This trending treatment is a natural success, a minimally invasive skin rejuvenation marvel that stimulates collagen production in the body by using the patient’s own blood to make platelet-rich plasma (PRP).
PRP is a high concentration of platelets surrounded in its own plasma. A small amount of blood is drawn and the red cells are isolated from the platelet-rich plasma. Since the Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) is processed from the patient’s own blood, there is virtually no risk of an allergic reaction or rejection.
Blood-Derived Growth Factors
The internal essence of your blood contains life-giving fundamental protein growth factors. PRP utilizes a leading-edge, patented technology that is specifically designed. With a simple, quick and advantageous process, our medical practioner PRP professional is able to derive a high concentration of biological nutrient-rich cells and create platelet-rich plasma.
- The practitioner draws an amount of blood similar to what is required for a basic lab test.
- The practitioner places the blood into a centrifuge and spins the blood at a very rapid rate to separate the platelets from the other components of the blood.
- The platelet-rich plasma is activated to release at least eight essential growth factors and signaling proteins. Platelet-rich plasma is a technology that deploys aspects of blood-based biochemistry. Because all constitutes retrieved in PRP are exclusively from the patient (autologous in origin), there is virtually no risk of intolerance. Nevertheless, before any treatment, disclose all the medications you are taking (including herbs) to your Health Care Practitioner.
How long does the PRP process take?
The blood draw takes just a couple of minutes, followed immediately by a 10-minute centrifugation. The time involved in the application varies based on which procedure is being performed.
Can a PRP procedure be painful?
Eclipse PRP® is close to a physiologic pH, which means the product is less likely to cause a stinging or burning sensation. There may be some temporary discomfort or possible redness and inflammation at the application site, but quickly resolves.
Is PRP safe?
Since the Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) is produced from a patient’s own blood, there is virtually no risk of an allergic reaction or rejection.
What is Microneedling?
This skin rejuvenation procedure involves the use of a federally-approved device that contains fine needles. The needles are used in this collagen induction therapy to provide microscopic injuries to the skin at various depths and create controlled channels for effective PRP penetration.
Rewrite your skin appearance with a deeper solution for fine facial lines, wrinkles and scars or simply look to improve your skin’s texture, tone, and colour.

What is automated microneedling?
The MicroPen EVO is an advanced, medical-grade automated microneedling device. Automated microneedling is an innovation in aesthetic medicine for facial skin rejuvenation. The skin’s repair process triggers a natural boost in collagen and elastin production that results in softened lines, reduced wrinkles and scarring and an improvement to overall skin texture. While troublesome skin conditions are addressed, patients receive the benefit of a more youthful appearance as well.
How is MicroPen EVO microneedling performed?
A sterile cartridge containing 14 tiny micro-points is attached to the MicroPen EVO. Your health-care professional will apply sterile saline to your skin and select the appropriate pen position based on your individual needs. In a single motion, the pen will be gently pressed against the skin while simultaneously gliding in one direction until the entire treatment area has been covered.
Is microneedling painful?
Many patients report that the feeling of the MicroPen EVO on their skin is like that of sandpaper being moved across the skin. While some areas of the skin are more sensitive than others, the speed of the reciprocating tip makes the treatment more comfortable. Because most microneedling sessions only take about 15 to 30 minutes, any discomfort is temporary and is felt only during the procedure itself. What downtime is associated with this procedure? The total healing time from a MicroPen EVO procedure depends on the pen position used and the number of overlapping passes your health-care professional performs. On average, patients experience redness for two to four days. Some patients heal completely within 24 hours. Most patients report noticing a redness to the skin following the procedure.
When will I see results?
One of the most exciting perks of the MicroPen EVO is the immediate results patients experience. Patients can see a “glow” to their skin as soon as the procedure is finished, and visible changes to the skin develop over the course of several weeks. Results continue to improve up to six months after the treatment.
How many treatments are recommended?
Some patients only require a single treatment in one visit just once a year to achieve noticeable results. However, most health-care professionals recommend that patients receive a series of two to three treatments spaced six to eight weeks apart for best results. For patients with significant skincare concerns, such as deep acne scars, it is recommended to receive six to eight sessions at six-week intervals.
Who is a good candidate?
The MicroPen EVO is intended to be used as a treatment for facial skin rejuvenation to soften fine lines, reduce wrinkles and scars and improve overall skin texture.
Are there any reasons why I should not receive a MicroPen EVO treatment?
The use of the MicroPen EVO should not be used on patients who:
- Have active skin cancer in the treatment area(s)
- Have open wounds, sores, or irritated skin in the treatment area(s)
- Have an allergy to stainless steel or anesthetics
- Have a hemorrhagic (bleeding) disorder or hemostatic (bleeding) dysfunction
- Are pregnant or nursing
- Are currently taking drugs with the ingredient isotretinoin (such as Accutane)
NOTE: This product is not intended for transdermal (under the skin) delivery of topical products such as cosmetics, drugs, or biologics.
What are common side effects?
- Rough skin
What are other possible adverse events?
Patients may experience reactivation of herpes simplex virus (cold sore), pigment changes that include lighter or darker skin in the treatment area that resolves over time, or no change in their acne scars.
